Author Sara Davidson is blogging a serial about love, entitled Sex Love Enlightenment, online before it becomes a published novel. That is, as she writes the novel, she posts the finished chapters online.
Davidson who has a bunch of novels and articles under her belt, is well-known for her particular brand of chick-lit about relationships, women, love and loss. She is a former journalist and has worked in television entertainment as dramatic series creator and executive producer.
Her most recent novel, Leap, details her travails as a middle-aged woman who- abandoned by her husband, her career and her kids (who leave for college)- manages to turn this convergence of crisis into a completely new, and presumably happy, life.
Sex Love Entitlement already has two chapters or "parts" posted on the blog at Davidson's website, and you can sign up for more installments by email.
Davidson will be in Marin at two appearances at the beginning of May. She'll appear at the Book Passage in Corte Madera on May 1st at 7:00pm for a reading and book signing for Leap. On May 2nd, she'll appear at 12Noon at the Bay Club Marin as a featured speaker on behalf of Nancy's List.org, an organization that provides support and resources for people with cancer.
