Where can you find a gingerbread "Leaning Tower of Pisa?" If you said Italy, you'd be wrong but if you said Sausalito, you'd be correct!
The gingerbread Pisa Tower at Ciao Bella, and a host of other creations are on display thru-out the month of December, for the third annual Gingerbread House Competition and Tour.
Our favorites, in addition to the aforementioned Pisa, were the creations at the Sausalito Police Dept (complete with police crime scene tape), the model of St. Hilary's Church at Jewelry by the Bay and the fanciful creation at the Inn above Tide hotel. (click here to get to the photo album)
Sentimental favorite? That would be the gingerbread houseboat created by the folks at State Farm Insurance.
To see all the creations-- check our photo album. If you want to see the houses in person, stop by the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce and pick up a map.

The houses are works of art! I know how much effort it takes to build one (kit or no kit) so I'm in awe of the efforts made here. Thank you for these lovely photos.
