Santa and his elves are getting ready to make their annual appearance at the Manzanita Recreation Center's holiday bash.
It's the 12th year for the popular celebration which features Santa, of course, and a lot more. A week from now on Wednesday, December 23, the festivities start at 10:00 a.m. with a community pancake breakfast, followed by a holiday movie, arts and crafts and photo-taking session with Santa. Then at 4:30 p.m., the main event-- the toy gift-giving.
Last year (photo above), event coordinators saw a deluge of participants and this year they expect the same. The folks who contribute time and resources to make this such a successful event, include:
