According to this Marinscope article, the Mejia-Perez' were scheduled to be deported back to Guatemala today, November 4.
Salvador and Elida Mejia-Perez, are illegal immigrants and have lived in this country for the past 17 years. They've received much community support but there was no political intervention to prevent their deportation.
The two took their four-year-old daughter Dulce who is a U.S. citizen, with them, but left their two older children here in the U.S. Their eldest son Gilbert, who is a college student at Santa Rosa JC, is also here illegally, and his deportation hearing is scheduled for later next year. Thirteen-year-old Helen, like her younger sister, is also a U.S. citizen and will remain here.
