Snapper is one lucky pelican, despite a broken wing.
The juvie brown pelican was rescued this past weekend, in a joint effort between the Marin Humane Society and the Southern Marin Fire Protection District. The injured bird was spotted sitting on a pier and he was eventually rescued (see the rescue here in a You Tube video) and brought to Wildcare where he is "expected to make a full recovery" according to MHS.
