The case has all the earmarks of a Hollywood script.
Federal drug agents just arrested a female former mountain biking champion who has a penchant for tattoos, nose and lip rings and for wearing the remains of her dead pets in the form of jewelry while she raced. Melissa "Missy" Giove, nicknamed "the Missile" for her aggressive mountain biking style, was arrested in Albany, NY on drug possession and distribution charges.
Now police have raided a home in Ross which Giove's alleged partner in crime, Eric Canori, had rented. According to the IJ, they found found $700,000 in cash and drug packaging equipment in the Madrona Avenue residence. Even though mountain biking originated Marin County, there's no evidence the colorful racer ever lived here. (photo courtesy of Tom Moran)
